This park is a local gem located on Federal Highway, just inside Hobe Sound. With over 11,000 acres, it’s no surprise that people choose to come here for more than just the boat ramps! Aside from hiking, horseback riding, river tours and eco tours, the newly renovated boat ramp gives visitors access to the Loxahatchee River. Once on the river, boaters will find themselves leaving the park, idling down the Intracoastal Waterway, and ending in the Atlantic Ocean. This is one of the main reasons the parks boat ramp is so popular. Once launched, boaters will be able to see multiple sides of Florida, from the rivers to the oceans. Jonathan Dickinson State Park does not require a permit, however there is a small $4 fee to use the ramp.
