JUPITER, FL – June 27, 2017 – Q: What has six wheels, a past life in the delivery business and serves up an award-winning menu? A: Guanabanas Island Restaurant & Bar’s new food truck. In motion throughout the northern end of South Florida since this spring, the Guanabanas mobile kitchen can whip up all of your favorite items from the restaurant plus develop a menu that is tailored for your event.
“The Guanabanas food truck has everything we need to execute our menu: flat top, grill, range for saute, oven, fryer, sandwich press, steam tables and tons of refrigeration,” says Executive Chef Vinny Trupia. “We’ve done large scale events where we’ve fed 500 people over the course of an afternoon, and we’ve used it for catering events like weddings and rehearsal dinners as well. It is a fully capable machine.”
Guanabanas has been awarded numerous media and industry accolades over the years, recently including “Best Place to Take out of Town Guests” and “Best Waterfront Restaurant” by Jupiter Magazine (2017), “Best Waterfront Restaurant” in 2016 by the Palm Beach Post, a top 10 “Best Waterfront Restaurant” in 2015 by the Broward Palm Beach New Times, and more.
Currently, the food truck’s only consistent route is the Palm Beach Park of Commerce (15132 Park of Commerce Blvd, Jupiter, FL 33478) on Wednesdays during lunchtime while the rest of the week is filled with brewery stops and catering events. Frequently used to cater private events, food truck events, or other public events on the weekends, foodies can follow the truck’s Instagram account @guanabanasfoodtruck to find out where the kitchen on wheels will be on any given day.
The 1990 Grumman Step Van is a converted FedEx delivery fleet truck. It now accepts all types of payment and can be booked for any event by calling 561.747.8878 or emailing foodtruck@guanabanas.com.
