Jupiter, FL – March 27, 2019 – The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is thrilled to announce Bahama Boat Works as Presenting Sponsor of its inaugural season event, “Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon." Honorary Co-chairs Joe Namath and Charles Modica will help showcase the preservation fundraising work of the ‘Lighthouse Luminary’ Ambassadors. Proceeds from the luncheon support repainting both the exterior and interior of the historic 1860 Lighthouse, a preservation project that takes ten days to complete and occurs every ten years.

The luncheon, scheduled to take place from Noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday April 16th, offers attendees the exciting chance to premiere Jupiter’s exquisite new Pelican Club at 1065 N Hwy A1A. Tickets to the ‘Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon’ are $125 per person, or $250 for an exclusive, pre-luncheon Meet & Greet and photos with Namath and Modica - generously underwritten by E.D.S. Air Conditioning & Plumbing. Serving as in-kind Wine Sponsor of the ‘Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon is Hampton Water.

“We are so honored to experience this outpouring of support from the local business and philanthropic community on behalf of our commitment to historic preservation,” said Jamie Stuve, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. “It is a true, public display of their testament to the importance of the Lighthouse and historic grounds, as a valued and celebrated destination that needs protection.”

Plans for the ‘Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon’ include a live auction, photos, raffle, awards, and an engaging presentation - all amid breathtaking views overlooking the lighthouse and inlet. One particularly special item among those to be auctioned is a rare 1000-watt quartz-iodine lightbulb. This bulb shone in the Jupiter Lighthouse, making it one of the few authentic items from the lighthouse that the public can own. Guests of the luncheon can also enjoy an up-close-and personal look at the “100th Bahama 41 Boat” manufactured by Lighthouse Luminary Luncheon Presenting Sponsor Bahama Boat Works.

Serving as Lighthouse Luminary Chairwoman is Mimi Vaughan. Other Luminary Committee members helping to ensure a successful and enjoyable event are: Andrea Aitken, Marlene Bennett, Carolyn Broadhead Sasso, Tonya Love Cheatham, Shani Core, Joannie Danielides, Kim Hagan, Jodie Murphy, Kelly O’Shea, Kelly Parkey, Kimberly Reese, Cari Rentas, Sherry Schattie, Rebecca Seelig, Kim Smith, Catherine Tolton.

On January 29th, Namath and Modica, members of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, presented a joint donation of $100,000 in support of educational programs. This donation was made through the Joe Namath Charitable Foundation and The Charles Modica Family Foundation. Each year, more than 80,000 people come from all over the world to explore this celebrated destination.
