PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – June 13, 2017 – Clinics Can Help (CCH) the West Palm Beach-based nonprofit helping to enable access to healthcare to all through the donation of medical equipment and supplies raised $37,000 during the 4th Annual Clinics Can Help Golf Classic at Madison Green in Royal Palm Beach. Honorary Chair and pro golfer Dana “The Iron Man” Quigley was joined on May 19, 2017 by Honorary Media Chair and CBS 12 Sports Director Matt Lincoln along with former major league baseball legends Andres “The Big Cat” Galarraga and Dennis “El Presidente” Martinez.
Beginning with a 1 pm shotgun start, the Golf Classic gave prizes for Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and Hole in One. Following the game, Matt Lincoln emceed the awards reception with hilariousanecdotes while guests bid on fabulous silent auction items. Players were also able to learn about the equipment and supplies needed by children with serious medical conditions which are provided through Clinics Can Help.
“We are so excited to have welcomed our golfers to the new location here at Madison Green,” says Owen O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer of Clinics Can Help. “We are truly grateful for the excitement and support from all of those who attended. The funds raised today will benefit numerous families in need throughout our community.”
Proceeds from the Golf Classic support CCH’s Kinder Project, the organization’s program supporting families of children with special needs. Many of the children in CCH’s Kinder Project are affected by serious medical conditions and would not be able to afford the supplies and equipment that enables them to lead more independent lives.
“Bringing this equipment to children, and their families, is not something that should be a luxury. We are working towards a world where those in need can get the equipment, regardless of their ability to pay,” continued O’Neill.
In the last year alone, Clinics Can Help granted more than $821,000 in reusable medical equipment and supplies for those most in need. And with the many donations of materials and funds, CCH was able to impact thousands of lives of area residents. There is a constant and increasing need, though. Addressing that need, CCH continuously expands its offerings. The nonprofit recently celebrated the opening of their new office and warehouse and plans to grow their impact fourfold.
