JUPITER, FL – May 23 2017 – 130 people attended the Chefs Helping Heroes 6th annual event at the private waterfront home of Sara Lankler. The event raised over $90,000 to provide fully paid retreats in Florida for post 9/11 injured and ill service members and their families.
Again, this year, 7 of the area’s top chefs came together to prepare their specialty dishes for the attendees. The special guests were wounded service members and their wives. There was dinner, dancing, tarot card readers, raffles and a lively live auction. Chef Frank Eucalitto (Café Chardonnay) Chef John Carlino (Chef Corp), Chef Dominick Laudia (American Culinary Federation), Chef Pascal Georget (Reef Grill), Chef Erik Pettersen (Evo), Chef Justin Knight (Dive Bar), and Chef Laura Ashley (Laura Ashley Catering) donated the 5 star dinner for the evening. Brian Chamis from The Vine Post was the sommelier for the evening. Jupiter High School ROTC started the event with a color guard and the National Anthem.
