The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County will again offer its free community program, Family Saturdays, once a month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at its historic headquarters in downtown Lake Worth.
Family Saturdays invites families to discover the arts together as they connect and create memories while acquiring new skills through visual art, dance and theater. The program is presented by various Palm Beach County arts and cultural organizations.
“This unique program is a great way for families to participate in fun cultural activities while learning something new,” said Ericka Squire, the Council’s manager of arts and cultural education. “People thrive off of diverse cultural and educational experiences, and Family Saturdays offers exactly that.”
This season’s first Family Saturday, Graffiti, Pop and Lock: Community Mural, takes place Sept. 8 in partnership with ArtNest Delray. Participants will create a community mural through graffiti, stenciling and paint, and enjoy a live DJ, dancing and photo opportunities.
