Family Adventure Day at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Celebrates Life On the Loxahatchee River

JUPITER, FL – January 6, 2022 – The community is invited to experience a fun-filled ‘Family Adventure Day” on Jan. 15th, with maritime heritage-inspired adventures planned to kick-off the 50th Anniversary celebration year of the Loxahatchee River Historical Society. The waterside event with timed-tickets takes place from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, 500 Captain Armour’s Way. Tickets: $5 Adults & Children; children ages 5 and under are free.

With the theme of ‘Life on the Loxahatchee River,’ each family will follow the clues to solve their History Mystery Hunt and claim a prize! This year’s Family Adventure Day offers an educationally entertaining way to explore our 'History Shaped By Nature' with your whole family.

Included with admission, each child will receive a Family Adventure Day Explorer Bag and a History Mystery Hunt! You’ll need to follow the clues and instructions to complete the hunt and claim your prize! Attendees will also receive an activity booklet from the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, and other fun activities to take home when you solve certain clues! Each clue will help you spell out a mystery word that, once discovered, will earn you an official Family Adventure Day pin. Adults will enjoy the hunt too!

What’s available at the site? Families will be able to visit the Museum, Lighthouse, Tindall Pioneer Homestead, Keeper’s Workshop, and historic grounds with new pier and special photo spots. Families can also discover the nature trails of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area and receive a Jr. Park Ranger Booklets provided by the Bureau of Land Management.

Program attendees are also invited to climb the Lighthouse: children must be a of 48″ tall to climb and be accompanied by an adult. Pets & Alcohol are not permitted on the property.
