JUPITER, FL – March 5, 2019 – Hanley Foundation supporters and golf enthusiasts will tee off at the esteemed Admirals Cove in Jupiter on Monday, April 16, 2018, for the 19th Annual Golf Classic. Co-chairs Suzanne Holmes and Gary Harris will lead the fundraiser with Justin Claud and Greg Etimos serving as junior chairmen, and Jack Barrett as golf venue chairman. Donna and Bob Goldfarb are chairing the unique “Luncheon with the Suits,” which invites business leaders and community partners to join the awards ceremony, luncheon and auction portion of the day. Barbara Shafer also serves on the host committee for the half-day event.
The day begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by 18-holes of competitive play. A silent auction will be held during the awards ceremony and always popular “Luncheon with the Suits” at 1 p.m.
“With our nation in the midst of the largest opioid crisis in history, now more than ever people are in need of quality treatment,” said Jan Cairnes, CEO for Hanley Foundation. “All funds raised at the 19th Annual Hanley Foundation Golf Classic will help provide access to high quality treatment and education to those who otherwise could not afford it. We are grateful to Gary and Suzanne’s leadership along with wonderful co-chairs, committee members and sponsors. Thanks to their help, we are able to bring hope into patients’ lives and the lives of their families.”
Hanley Foundation, established more than 30 years ago by Mary Jane and Jack Hanley, is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to give hope to individuals, families and communities affected by substance use disorders. The Foundation provides programming and grant support throughout Florida for advocacy, prevention, education and access to quality addiction treatment. The organization’s prevention programming is available to schools, churches and community groups through grant funding provided by the Florida Department of Children and Families, office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.
“This marks my fifth year co-chairing this important benefit with Suzanne and my seventh year of being involved,” said Harris. “The tournament will not only be a fun day on a prestigious course, but one that will bring awareness and resources to those patients and families in their journey to recovery. With your help, the Foundation will continue its lifesaving work with individuals and families struggling with the disease of addiction.”
Sponsors for the Golf Classic include Drew and Amy Rothermel, Robert D. Critton, Forest Hill Pharmacy, Hanley Family Foundation, The Harris Land Company, Patti Petersen and TD Wealth.
Tickets are $1,000 per golfer, $4,000 per foursome and $500 for juniors (age 40 and under). The “Luncheon with the Suits” is by invitation only.
