Impact the Palm Beaches to Grant $144,000 at Annual Awards Presentation

WEST PALM BEACH, FL- (January 22, 2019) Impact the Palm Beaches will award $144,000 in high impact grants to nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County on January 31, 2019 at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach. The 2019 Impact Grant Presentation is an exciting evening where three finalists present their request for funding to the members, a vote is taken, and the awards are distributed. The winner receives the $100,000 Impact Grant and the two semi-finalists will receive a Merit Grant of $22,000 each. The three finalists were chosen from more than 44 applications that were received and include: Center for Child Counseling, Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches, Inc. and Parent-Child Center. 

Impact the Palm Beaches is a unique organization of dynamic women who make transformational change in their local community through collective philanthropy. Each woman contributes $1,000 towards the $100,000 grant allowing for an impactful grant to an organization rather than lots of smaller gifts. Impact grants fund the following areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Family and Health and Wellness.

“The grants committee was fortunate to have 44 incredible funding opportunities from which to choose,” said Beth Walton, Impact the Palm Beaches Co-Chair.   “Our extensive review process allows us to determine where our dollars will have the greatest impact for both the organization we fund and the people they serve.   It was difficult to narrow the field down to just three finalists, but we were inspired by the caliber of the final projects and believe that through them Impact the Palm Beaches will continue to be a catalyst for positive transformation across Palm Beach County for years to come.”

Impact the Palm Beaches members and guests will enjoy cocktails, beginning at 5:30 pm, prior to the awards presentation on centerfield at the FITTTEAM Ballpark.
