Jean Albano Gallery to Present a Solo Exhibition of ARTISTICA!

Jean Albano Gallery, Chicago is presenting a solo exhibition of ARTISTICA!, the newest body of work by New York based artist Bonnie Lautenberg at Art Miami 2018. Bonnie also spends considerable time in the winter in Palm Beach, where she has a home.

ARTISTICA! is a body of work exploring how one art form might have influenced another, in particular paintings, drawings, photography and film.  ARTISTICA! is transformative art resulting in large scale compilations of two subjects.  For example, was Basquiat's 1982 masterpiece influenced by E.T. and/or was Stephen Spielberg aware of Basquiat's painting?  These works pay homage to many of the well known artists depicted in this project who are favorites of Bonnie Lautenberg.  They are beautifully crafted, exquisitely framed, very powerful and moving.  

Bonnie was married to the late Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey and is a very successful businesswoman and philanthropist in addition to her art and photography.  As the wife of Senator Lautenberg, Bonnie had the opportunity to photograph history and entertainment as it was unfolding.  She has successfully sold and exhibited her photographs for a number of years, receiving critical acclaim for her Lady Gaga Performing, her photographs of Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem begin signing the 1978 Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, Barack Obama in the White House during his tenure, and the portraits of U.S. Senators which were showcased at Mana Contemporary in New Jersey and are in the collection of the Library of Congress.

Bonnie Lautenberg will be present at the Jean Albano Gallery booth during Art Miami, Decemeber 4-9, 2018.
