PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (August 22, 2018) – Little Smiles, a South Florida nonprofit organization that helps children in hospitals, shelters and other facilities, is holding an adventure scavenger hunt up, down and around Clematis Street on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
The 7th Annual Bamboozle event, presented by Boca Raton-based cell-phone tower company Vertical Bridge, is expected to attract around 200 participants. All proceeds from the event will go to Little Smiles.
This year’s theme is “HEROES & VILLAINS.” Teams are encouraged to dress the part to receive extra points and opportunities. During the scavenger hunt, teams of four are given a list of clues, challenges and obstacles with varying levels of difficulty and point values. Teams have to find items around town and visit local bars and restaurants to compete in physical challenges.
“Expect to see crowds of people dressed up in crazy costumes searching for clues and running around downtown,” said Little Smiles Board Member Tim Frater. “It is a one-of-a-kind event. Participants love it because they get to do something different on a Saturday night, and every penny goes to local kids in difficult situations.”
Bamboozle is held in memory of Kyle Pacheco, a friend of Little Smiles who was diagnosed with cancer in 2002. Kyle lost his battle with cancer in 2010. But his family (Ed, Kathy and Colette Pacheco) continues to be an integral part of Little Smiles. They particularly support Bamboozle because it is an event where everyone gets a little crazy and has a lot of fun… which was Kyle’s style.
