Palm Beach County, FL. – October 10, 2024 – Lara Trump, Co-Chair of the RNC and daughter-in-law of former President Donald J. Trump will be donating pet supplies for families hit by recent hurricanes. She will also foster dogs to help make room for the anticipated arrival of more animals who will be left homeless by Hurricane Milton.
Lauree Simmons, CEO of Big Dog Ranch Rescue, says the new hurricane means a new focus on rescues, “We were about to launch a second relief trip to North Carolina when Milton developed into a monster storm. Now we must prepare for the devastation that will follow Milton’s path here in Florida. Lara asked how she could help and I told her we need to gather food and supplies for Florida families pets and we need more space to bring in dogs who will fall victim to the storm. Lara said “I’ll be there today with supplies and to foster”.
I hope everyone who is able will do the same so we can help Florida families and homeless dogs following Hurricane Milton.”
For several weeks Big Dog Ranch Rescue has been providing supplies to families in Western North Carolina near Ashville and aiding destroyed shelters by taking in more than 80 dogs.
The largest no-kill dog rescue in the United States, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, is now collecting pet food and supplies to provide in its next rescue mission to areas in Florida hit hard by Hurricane Milton. Many families will surrender their pets with no home to keep them in and no way to feed them following the hurricane.
Donations are desperately needed and made be made at BDRR.ORG .
