JUPITER, FL – January 5, 2018 – Admirals Cove Foundation and Club members gathered in the spirit of giving and sharing to grant a Christmas wish to a brave young neighbor battling cancer. Palm Beach County resident Emma LaPaglia, 7, and mother Ashley were presented a check for $9,200 from the Admirals Cove Foundation (ACF) to the Kids Cancer Foundation and Season to Share, helping to offset the LaPaglia family’s financial struggles.
Emma is facing a two-and-a-half year uphill battle fighting Pre-B Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia – while Ashley continues to care for her two younger daughters and provide a roof over her young family’s head. The generous donation from the ACF Board of Directors to newly-single mother Ashley will ensure a safe and reliable home for all. The LaPaglia family can focus on Emma’s fight – knowing their new apartment is secured through the necessary deposits, first payment, utilities and more.
The resident and Club staff elves at The Club of Admirals Cove even heard about this brave family, immediately committing to a family gift drive just in time for Christmas. On December 22nd, the Admirals Cove community hosted the Lapaglia family in the clubhouse surrounded by hot cocoa, sweet holiday treats and presents wrapped and donated by Santa’s resident helpers.
