USA Today’s panel of travel experts have selected the Center in their list of 20 attractions nationwide. Other nominees include some of the country’s most notable landmarks such as Central Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Great Smoky Mountains.

For 40 years, LMC has been one of Florida’s most visited nonprofit scientific destinations. The Center focuses on ocean and sea turtle conservation through educational and recreational activities. Each year, the Center’s team and volunteers treat nearly 100 sea turtles and 1,000 hatchlings at its ocean-side facility.
About Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC)
Loggerhead Marinelife Center, located in Loggerhead Park, Juno Beach, Fla., is a sea turtle research, rehabilitation, education, and conservation center. The Center also manages the Juno Beach Pier across the street from the park. Established in 1983, LMC seeks to promote conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. Its facilities include a sea turtle hospital, a research laboratory, and exhibit areas, including live sea turtles and other coastal creatures.
