If you are anything like the InFlorida team, considering making your own cocktail at Halloween can be like a vampire bite, a real pain in the neck! So, we were thrilled to find out about Shaker&Spoon, a subscription cocktail box company who delivers the ingredients, minus the alcohol, to your door every month. The InFlorida team picked this magical cocktail from the recipe choices. Tony Abou-Ganim, widely regarded as one of the pioneering and leading bar professionals in the world, recommended using Bosscal Mezcal Joven for his Big BOO recipe.

Big BOO

2 ½ oz Bosscal Mezcal Joven

2 tsp (1/3 oz) or up to ½ oz spiced vanilla shadow syrup

3 dashes (not drops) chicory pecan bitters

2 spritzes orange oil

Directions

1. Add the mezcal, syrup, and bitters to a dry mixing glass. Fill the glass with ice and use a bar spoon to stir until the mixing glass feels ice-cold (20-40 seconds, depending on the size of the ice).
2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Spray the orange oil over the top pf the drink.

Bonus: For an even bigger BOO, feel free to add a blood orange wheel or a bloody cocktail cherry on top.
