JUPITER, FL – May 24, 2017 – If you are in need of medical care, but might not have the means to do so, look no further. MyClinic is an independent, not-for-profit, free clinic that provides primary medical care to low income uninsured adults residing mainly in the Palm Beach County area. With 3 years of business under their belt, over 1,800 registered patients have accounted for over 5,500 visits since the official opening in January 2014.
All direct medical care is provided exclusively by licensed health professionals who generously donate their time and expertise. MyClinic provides quality medical, behavioral health, and urgent dental care. A referral program will be added for dental care this year for those who are in need of service. Certain medical specialists practice endocrinology, cardiology, podiatry, dermatology, and diabetes education services at the clinic. The goal is to be a true medical home that improves overall health and quality of life for its patients. Jupiter Medical Center provides lab and imaging services at no cost, as well as administrative and technical support. “Seeing is believing. MyClinic is truly a gift to our community,” says Eileen Donohue, Marketing Director of MyClinic.
The current state of the clinic is the final product of a process that began over 3 years ago when a group of stakeholders came together to form a coalition to address the health needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. The coalition was comprised of representatives from the public and private sectors including: El Sol (Jupiter's Neighborhood Resource Center), Jupiter Medical Center, Town of Jupiter, Florida Health-Palm Beach County, as well as guidance from the Florida Public Health Institute. Currently, MyClinic is located at 411 W. Indiantown Rd Jupiter, Florida 33458.
