New Wine Races to Success

JUPITER, FL – March 8, 2022 – The InFlorida team are big car buffs, so we were thrilled to have the chance to try CARBON, the newly released, premium red wine from the Adobe Road Winery’s Racing Series.

Celebrate the love of motorsports by purchasing wine produced by a famous racecar driver and team owner of The Racers Group (TRG). Kevin Buckler and his wife Debra opened Adobe Road Winery in the heart of Sonoma County in 2002. Since that time, the winery has gained a reputation for premium wines with a focus on craft wines that demonstrate California's most treasured winegrowing regions.

The wine arrived and my husband, who happens to have worked in the motorsport industry for 20 years, enthusiastically grabbed the bottle to see what Buckler had produced. 

My husband was just a tad eager to sample this wine stating, “Wow, what a bottle, look at all the race car details.” The first thing he noticed was the black and grey parquet design on the bottle which looks very mechanical. On the front a bolted-on piece of carbon fiber, with silver lettering CARBON and the cork topped with a hex bolt like those found on their racecars. To summarize on first impression everything about this bottle screams quality and, car enthusiast.

Grape Variety: 48% Petite Sirah, 26% Malbec, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot

ABV: 14.9%

The nose: As we hoped it would be, bold, smoky, and dynamic.

Taste: Hitting the tastebuds at full throttle, there is a toasty palate covered in ripe red fruits like cherries and plums, which are wrapped in a road of crispy woody undertones. As the taste develops, there are hints of spices with a full fresh acidity and medium tannins. Once the taste buds hit the finish line, they give a roar of appreciation and a lingering after taste of warm red fruit pie with hints of black pepper and dark chocolate.

Pairs well with: BBQ meats, chili, stuffed portobello mushroom with blue cheese or steak and ale pie.

Conclusion: This red wine is in the race to be one of our favorite reds to come out of Sonoma County, and without a doubt even podium worthy.
