JUPITER, FL – January 2, 2018 – The heart of Downtown Abacoa is always bustling with entertainment. From art festivals to live concerts to Major League Baseball games at Roger Dean Stadium, there is always something going on. And where there are crowds, there are hungry stomachs. With restaurants lining the lively streets, the famous Jumby Bay Island Grill is a “must go!”

Known for their tropically-inspired dishes, generous cocktails, live music, and dog-friendly patio, Jumby Bay has come to be considered a Jupiter institution by many. Some may recognize the island style restaurant from the television series Barmageddon on TruTV where owner Vicki Greist swapped places with another restaurant owner in a high-stakes bar competition.

As there has been recent redevelopment in the Downtown Abacoa area, Greist—a longtime Jupiter resident— joined the movement and updated Jumby Bay’s décor and menu.

With a lighter and brighter beach house feel, the entire restaurant and bar were completely redone from the floors, to the ceilings, to the furnishings. The inside is equipped with wicker chairs and brightly colored décor, and they have even added a fun high top table made of a surfboard for the outdoor lounge area. The white walls are embellished with local artwork of boating, beaches, sea life, and lighthouses, as well as personal photos of Jumby’s most loyal guests.

“After opening Jumby Bay 13 years ago, I feel so connected to the community and am honored to contribute a gathering place for people to make memories and have good times,” says Greist.

With a menu based off of fresh ingredients that appeals to all taste buds and ages, some of the recently added items on the menu include a sesame seared ahi tuna steak, lobster pasta, and a daily fresh fish bowl blackened over black beans and rice, sliced avocado, lime, and cilantro drizzled with aioli.

With the triple threat of great food, good vibes, and an “Excellent” rating on Zagat, Jumby Bay keeps the people coming back! They are open seven days a week from 11am to 2am, with a full menu available until midnight.
