JUPITER, FL –Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and Lesser, Lesser, Landy &
Smith are excited to announce “A Day at the Ballpark” on Saturday, August 18th
with proceeds from the event benefiting local non-profits Quantum House and
American Cancer Society.
With longstanding ties to the community, a strong belief in giving back, and the goal of a unique way to create awareness for two local charities, the idea for “A Day at the Ballpark” was born.
“We have been longtime community partners with the Quantum House and the American Cancer Society of Southeast Florida and have seen the change they make for families within our community. By partnering with Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and the Jupiter Hammerheads, we hope to raise much-needed funds and awareness for these two great organizations,” stated, Managing Partner for LLL&S, Gary S. Lesser.
Quantum House, located on the grounds of St. Mary’s Medical Center, opened its doors in May 2001 to families going through difficult times. The House continues to be where “hope has a home” for more than 1,000 family members every year. Additionally, American Cancer Society has programs and services to help manage cancer treatment and recovery, as well as find the emotional support needed.
The afternoon will include local cancer survivors recognized before the game as the stadium’s Baseball Buddies, in which the survivors will get to take the field with the Jupiter Hammerheads for the National Anthem. Rebecca Lesser, a member of the Young Singers of Palm Beach County, will provide that afternoon’s rendition of the National Anthem. Children from the Quantum House will have the opportunity to assist Hammerheads’ Manager Smoke Randel with the exchange of lineups and will kick off the game with “Play Ball”. In addition, attorneys from Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith will be bar-tending for the cause, with all proceeds going to the two charities. There will also be games, raffles, and other fun activities for fans of all ages to enjoy.
That day, the Jupiter Hammerheads will take on the Bradenton Marauders with some of the players wearing specialty gear to be auctioned off following the game, with the proceeds to benefit the charities. In light of the special event, the game time has been moved up from its originally scheduled start time of 5:30 PM and will now begin at 1:00 PM.
Fans can purchase tickets for $10 with the proceeds from every ticket going back to the two charities. Additionally, businesses have the opportunity to purchase a $250 package that includes 25 tickets, the company’s logo on the videoboard and a special shout out from the stadium press box.
Tickets are available now by contacting Angel Adams at aadams@lesserlawfirm.com or through the ticket link, http://bit.ly/lllsball
