The Kids Of Summer

JUPITER, FL – September 13 , 2017 – The Jupiter 9U team, which is comprised of 13 players from the JTAA Spring Recreational baseball program, initially won the Cal Ripken District Championship held in Palm Beach Gardens and then won the Florida State Championship held at Okeeheelee Park. As State Champions, the team advanced to the Cal Ripken Regional tournament in Williamsburg, VA, conducted between July 19 to the 22.

The squad reached the Regional Championship game against West Raleigh, NC. In that game, the team came back from an 11-8 deficit in the top half of the last inning, erupting for 10 runs. They held on 18-14 to claim the Cal Ripken Southeast 9U Regional Championship, defeating teams from all over the southern states.

General Manager Neil Jagolinzer said, “The key to the team’s success, besides its talented players, were the coaches
and parents who sacrificed their time and money to make this summer one of lasting memories for all involved.”
