JUPITER, FL – April 4, 2018 – It’s never too early to start taking care of your mind and body. That’s a page right out of Tommy Rozycki’s book – a book that he recently wrote entitled “Survival of the Fittest,” which aims to teach children the importance of self-care and self-improvement.
“In today’s society, we have become more sedentary and addicted to technology than ever before. I wanted to create a book that gets kids to put down their phones and get them excited about playing outside,” says Tommy.
As the owner of ZyckFit®, a personal training and lifestyle brand company and contributing writer for Florida Coast Magazine, Tommy believes in remaining active and healthy and passing on his experience and knowledge for the good of all.
This is Tommy’s second published book, his first one being “Be Better Than You Were Yesterday,” which is also Tommy’s mantra and the message of his company. Although the message applies to any age, as Tommy says, his first book was geared more towards teaching health and wellness to adults. So for his second book, Tommy decided to take a different direction and engage children, which is an effort that goes hand-in-hand with ZyckFit’s Bootcamp for Kids that he runs seasonally at the East Jupiter Community Center.
“Survival of the Fittest” tells the tale of a young boy named Darwin, who washes ashore on an island after surviving a terrible shipwreck. Throughout the story, he meets different animals that teach him various lessons about fitness, health, and wellness. At the end of each lesson is an interactive page for kids to try themselves including meditation, yoga poses, and calisthenics exercises.
“The best way to get kids to learn is to make things fun so they don’t even realize they are learning,” says Tommy. “‘Survival of the Fittest’ not only introduces a great story but physically gets the kids involved in the lessons the main character is learning throughout the book. Ideally, I want to see families embrace a healthy lifestyle together and I hope this book can be a part of that!”
Tommy will be having a book signing and sale on April 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ZBody Strength & Fitness located at 400 Toney Penna Drive, Suite D, Jupiter, FL 33458. If you are unable to attend, please contact Tommy via the info provided below for personal, signed copies.
“Survival of the Fittest” will also be available on Amazon within the next few days.
