U.S. Army Soldiers Volunteer to work with dogs at Big Dog Ranch Rescue prior to their deployment

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – June 10, 2019 New U.S. Army recruits want to have a positive impact on their community so more than a dozen soldiers will volunteer at Big Dog Ranch Rescue for the day. This mission is just prior to the soldiers final assignments and deployment. Deputy Station Commander, Sgt.Christopher King says it's important for his soldiers to always remember to give back to their community.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder Lauree Simmons is a strong supporter of the military, “ Soldiers and veterans are our heroes. We can never repay the huge debt we owe them for our freedom. Soon our program paring specially trained service dogs with soldiers suffering from PTSD will be in full operation. As we work to serve our soldiers I am proud that these new recruits choose Big Dog Ranch Rescue as the place they wanted to volunteer prior to assignment and I know their participation will encourage others to volunteer at the ranch."

The soldiers will be helping in a variety of ways from grooming to walking to feeding and providing comfort to some 500 dogs and 100 puppies waiting to be adopted. Volunteers are needed and welcomed at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. For more information visit: BDRR.ORG
