JUPITER, FL – February 15, 2018 – Love the ocean, craft food and beer, local art and stellar music? Join Loggerhead Marinelife Center on Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Palm Beach County’s largest ocean conservation festival – the 15th Annual TurtleFest!
This free, ocean-inspired festival, located at LMC and the surrounding Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach, anticipates over 10,000 people throughout the day to celebrate and learn about ocean conservation.
Because this is a large-scale event, it requires many hardworking and dedicated volunteers for the day. The Center will need volunteers more than ever this year to help make TurtleFest the best one to date!
TurtleFest will feature local vendors and art, games, conservation-friendly activities, live music, craft food and beer, up close interactions with the Center’s sea turtle patients and so much more. LMC will host a beach cleanup the morning of TurtleFest, and guests can pledge a conservation-minded lifestyle at the pledge wall in the festival’s Conservation & Media Tent.
Volunteers can choose a four and a half-hour shift in the morning or afternoon and will receive a free meal and TurtleFest t-shirt. They are also welcome to enjoy the festival before or after their shift.
Those interested in volunteering in a variety of capacities can fill out an online application or email Evan Nader, volunteer coordinator, at enader@marinelife.org.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is also looking for artists to exhibit at the festival and vendors to sell eco-friendly, coastal-inspired merchandise. Visit the website or email Cassidy Sparks, marketing & social media coordinator, at csparks@marinelife.orgto participate as a vendor.
Members of the media interested in covering TurtleFest 2018 can contact Hannah Deadman, public relations & communications coordinator, at hdeadman@marinelife.org or (561) 627-8280 ext. 124.
