“On July 4th, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day than being surrounded by veterans and sharks. We brainstormed with our friend, Army Vet John Rourke, who helped bring the idea to life, and then, we made it happen. With so many Vets suffering from PTSD, we wanted to show them a world most don’t know about. It’s a very Zen, peaceful place that you can’t find on land. It’s able to free the mind, which I believe everyone in life needs. To me, the ocean is our natural medicine it heals damn near everything. We follow some of the guys on Instagram that we took out last year and see they are now ocean addicts. They are getting scuba certified, traveling around to dive…I would say, they found their next calling. We can’t wait to do this again next year. Day in and day out, they do their job to protect us so we can be free to do what we want safely. We can’t thank them enough for their service and sacrifices they give up, like time with their family, children, and friends” — Cameron Nimmo, Shark Addicts
