MIAMI BEACH, FL – July 19, 2021 – The Berkeley Park Hotel – MGallery calls itself “Your Sanctuary in South Beach” and truer words have never been spoken. I was given the opportunity to stay at the Berkeley for two nights and it did not disappoint.
I love Miami. The energy is unmatched and it’s a necessary weekend trip for anyone looking to add some excitement to their life. However, when it came time for that much needed beauty rest after a long night out in South Beach, The Berkeley Park Hotel was just what I needed, my little sanctuary.
Tucked away in the Arts Corridor sits a beautiful, welcoming white facade that feels like home. The lobby was clean and cozy with an area to unwind that I later saw was a very popular spot for hotel guests to sit and chat. Through glass double doors beats the heart of the Berkeley Park Hotel, a courtyard filled with art deco style tables and chairs where hotel guests will soon be able to indulge in Mediterranean cuisine.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a full breakfast on the morning of my departure, the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
I spent most of my daytime hours on the roof, in the pool. I secured my lounge chair under a large umbrella and waded into the water. The atmosphere was perfect. You could see the entire city from up there, yet you couldn’t hear a thing, the epitome of relaxation. As the sun started to find its way back to the horizon, it was time to freshen up for the evening.
As Floridians, it’s almost our duty to seek out the best possible happy hour, or any at all. Well, it’s safe to say I found the absolute best happy hour in Florida. When I first arrived at the Berkeley Park Hotel, I noticed a nook of colorful lights and tropical plants in between two of our neighboring hotels. An exploration was in order, so after a long day at the pool, I found myself at a hidden gem in the Arts Corridor called Más Cuba Cafe. Carlos stood behind the bar and poured his famous happy hour rum punch. If you’re in Miami for any reason, pay him a visit between 6 and 7.
On my last night in Miami, on my way back to my little sanctuary in South Beach, I stumbled upon Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Company. It sits on the corner across the street from The Berkeley Park Hotel. It was the perfect place to grab your last drink of the night in an intimate setting with inventive cocktails and a DJ playing great music.
If you’re anything like me and enjoy the energy of Miami but need a getaway at the same time, find yourself in the Art Corridor at the Berkeley Park Hotel – MGallery, the calm within the chaos of South Beach. Not only do you get to enjoy the amenities of the hotel, you get to immerse yourself in the neighborhood as well.
